Pleasant Grove Preschool is  selling Greater Raleigh Citipass coupon books today during Fellowship Time and immediately following both worship services. The books sell for $25 and the Preschool will receive $12.50 per book.  Books are also available for the Durham/Chapel Hill area. 

PGUMC will be sponsoring a blood drive this Wednesday, September 1, from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  You may sign up to donate online at www.mysignup.com/pleasant or by contacting Jean Farrell at 847-5147.  All donors will receive double Donate for Life points and complimentary tickets to Raleighwood Cinema & Grill.

Please join us for dinner this Wednesday, September 1, from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  The meal will be hosted by the United Methodist Women and freewill donations will be accepted to benefit future UMW outreach ministries.  Hope to see you there!

Calling all moms with kids who have not yet entered kindergarten!  The PG Moms in Motion will be meeting on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  Please join us this Thursday, September 2, as we navigate the world of couponing.  We'll learn tips and tricks to help save money buying groceries and household products. Volunteers are needed to help with our participation in the Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network the week of September 5 - 12.  Van drivers to cover 14 driving slots and volunteers to help prepare 1 meal are needed.  Please contact Bob Starkes at 848-1696 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. On Tuesday, September 14, there will be an open house to introduce our Fall small group studies.  We will offer four different classes and we'll have information on the various opportunities at the open house.  We'll meet in the Fellowship Hall at 7:00 p.m.  Childcare will be provided for the open house, as well as for the studies this Fall.  For more information please contact Rev. PGUMC will be hosting the NAMI course, Family to Family, beginning Saturday, September 11, at 9:00 a.m. in the basement of the Mattie Bell Building.  The NAMI Family to Family education program is a free 12-week course for family caregivers of individuals with severe mental illnesses.
