Joe Lupton has produced 2 CD’s, one entitled “Christmas Piano by Candlelight” and the other a new arrangement of Traditional, Folk & Contemporary Hymns entitled “A Time of Centering”. All songs are performed on the church’s Nicholas W. Schimmel Special Edition K213 NWS 7′ Grand Piano. Click on the links above for more information about each and for purchase information. Proceeds benefit the PGUMC Music Fund.
All Saints Sunday is Sunday, November 6. If you have a loved one who passed away since last All Saints Day, please contact the church office so that their name may be included in our All Saints Sunday worship services.
Pig Pickin’ and Fall Carnival, Saturday, October 29, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Please join us for this fun annual event hosted by the United Methodist Men. We’ll enjoy fall carnival games and a meal of barbecued pig, side dishes, and desserts. Hot dogs will also be available. The cost of the meal is $8/adults, $7/sr. citizens, $5/kids ages 4 – 10, and kids under 4 eat free. Wear your Halloween costume and participate in the costume parade at 6:45 p.m. Invite your friends and neighbors. All are welcome!
Join the Greatminds kids for some pumpkin carving fun! Bring your own pumpkin on Sunday, October 30, from 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. for pumpkin carving and other fun Fall activities. A few adult volunteers will be needed. For more information, or to volunteer to help, please contact Lucinda in the church office.
Please support the Libby Amos Preschool Scholarship Fund! In an effort to assist preschool families who are suffering some type of financial hardship we created the Libby Amos Preschool Scholarship Fund. By making a donation to the fund, you can help children who otherwise might have to withdraw from our preschool program due to financial limitations. Checks may be made payable to PGUMC with Libby Amos Fund specified on the memo line. For more information about the fund please contact Cathy Anderson, Preschool Director, at 787-1652.
Buy popcorn and support the boy scouts! Representatives from Boy Scout Troop # 364 will be selling popcorn after the worship services. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the boy scout program here at Pleasant Grove.
