All Saints Sunday is Sunday, November 6.  If you have a loved one who passed  away since last All Saints Day, please contact the church office so that their name may be included in our All Saints Sunday worship services.

Community Impact Day/Out of Pews Saturday is on November 5. Sign ups will be available through email to lesliewschreiner@gmail.com or after worship today. This is a day set aside by our District to work in the community. There are options available for all ages and different times of the day. Please begin collecting food pantry items for Hurricane Irene victims and shoes for Share our Shoes. Collection bins will be located in the Narthex.

Our next blood drive will be on Wednesday, November 9, from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  You may register to donate by visiting www.mysignup.com/pleasant or by contacting Jean Farrell at 847-5147.  Donors must be at least 17 years old.  Volunteers will be needed to act as hosts for the blood drive and to provide baked goods.  Please contact Jean if you can help.

Chili & Cornbread Cookoff, Wednesday, November 9, 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  Please join us as the United Methodist Women & the United Methodist Men face off with a chili & cornbread cookoff.  There will be 6 varieties of chili and multiple types of cornbread for you to sample and vote on.  Freewill donations will be accepted.  Invite your friends and neighbors!
