<p><strong>Ash Wednesday is the first day in the 40-day season of Lent.</strong> Please join us in the Sanctuary for an Ash Wednesday Service and the imposition of ashes this Wednesday, February 22, at 7:30 p.m. Additionally, Rev. Snider will offer the imposition of ashes during the morning hours on Wednesday, beginning at 7:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary.</p>
<p><strong>Are you gifted?</strong> Deborah Horton will be leading a two part series &#8220;The Spiritual Gifts Inventory&#8221; which will help individuals identify their God-given gifts for living faithfully as Christian disciples day by day and to find meaningful ways to use their gifts in connection with others through the community of faith. The process helps groups understand the nature of spiritual gifts and ways to enhance the effectiveness of their gifts by linking together with others. The first meeting will be on Sunday, February 26, at 5:00 p.m. in the Hyder House. Childcare will be provided. For more information contact Deborah at drhcrp@bellsouth.net.</p>

<p><strong>The Preschool is now accepting items for our 6th annual Silent Auction which will be held March 7 &#8211; 11.</strong> Donating an item is a great way to advertise a business and support our Preschool. <p><strong>Coups For Troops! Drop off your unused manufacturers coupons at the church and they will be sent to military families overseas.</strong> Coupons may be expired, but only within the last month or two. A collection box for coupons is located on top of the mailbox cubbies in the church office hallway. <p><strong>Valentine’s Day Truffles!</strong> The Middle School Youth are selling homemade oreo truffles again this year for Valentine’s Day. Surprise your sweetie with a box &#8211; or two! The cost is one box for $6, or two for $10. To place an order please contact Sheila Hensley at 870-9240 or sheila.hensley@sas.com. Orders must be placed today.</p>
<p><strong>The Middle School Youth are also collecting gently-used or new coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and blankets that they will distribute at Moore Square in early February.</strong> Donated items may be placed in the collection box in the Narthex. The youth are willing to purchase needed items if you would prefer to make a monetary donation. Checks may be made payable to PGUMC with MSY Moore Square specified on the memo line.</p>
