Nursery

Our nursery is currently staffed with three ladies who specialize in children and early elementary education.  Ms. Purabi Dey has been at PGUMC for 15 years, and is a second grade teacher in the Wake County Schools.  Ms. Janet Keller joined our staff 4 years ago and also works for the Wake County School system as a kindergarten teacher.  Ms. Ellen Frazier has been with PGUMC for 2 years and is a recent Meredith College graduate. 

PGUMC has a Safe Sanctuary Policy which provides policies for staff and volunteers to ensure that our children have a safe environment.  All staff are required to have a criminal background check.  For a copy of this policy, contact the church office.

PGUMC offers childcare each Sunday morning for all services (8:15 a.m. until 12:15 a.m.).  Our nurseries are divided between infants/early toddlers to children who are walking freely up until 4 years old.  With the help of parent volunteers, we maintain at least two adults in each class on Sunday mornings.  Additionally, for most committee meetings and evening services, we offer childcare.
