Weekly Announcements – December 18, 2011

Looking for a special Christmas gift? Joe Lupton’s “Christmas by Candlelight” & “A Time of Centering” CDs are available for sale. The cost is one cd for $15 or two for $25. Please see Joe after the worship service if you are interested.

2011 contributions to the church must be received by the church office by December 31 in order for them to be included on your 2011 end-of-year statement. If you have questions, please contact Julie in the church office at 787-7763 or julie.lebria@pgumc.org. Please note that the church office will be closed on December 26 & 27.

All kids and their families are invited to the Family Christmas Eve Service on 4:00 p.m. on December 24. Everyone can participate as we re-tell the Christmas story and sing carols. We will have simple costumes on hand for the children to wear, but we encourage kids to come dressed as angels, shepherds, and wise men. Bathrobes and white t-shirts make great costumes.

Our next blood drive will be on Wednesday, January 4, from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. You may sign up online to donate at www.mysignup.com/pleasant. Donors must be at least 17 years old. Volunteers will be needed to host the blood drive and provide baked goods. Please contact Jean Farrell at 847-5147 or pjfarrell@mindspring.com if you can help.

Memorialize loved ones or special occasions by purchasing a brick for the memorial walkway in front of the church. The United Methodist Men are once again sponsoring the brick sale and will be taking orders until January 31. Bricks will cost $100 each – order forms are located in the pew pads.
