Quest – 3rd through 5th Graders
What is Quest?
Quest is a relatively new (four years old) youth program for youth who are in 3rd through 5th grades. It was developed to give our younger youth a program that introduces them to PGUMC Youth programs and helps to make the transition to the Middle School Youth Group smoother for them.
Quest meets on a regular schedule of at least once per month in the Maddie Bell Building behind the sanctuary. We normally meet the second Sunday of each month from September through May, with some exceptions related to special events.
Quest’s mission is to prepare our younger youth for their future membership in Middle and High School Youth programs and to support the overall vision of PGUMC, “To reach all through hospitality, engage all in ministries, and enable all to grow spiritually.”
We have created many opportunities for Quest participants to enjoy outreach, Christian values, fun and fellowship. Some past and future events include:
- Clothing & Food Drives
- Feeding the Homeless
- Kite Flying & Ice Cream Social
- Games, Fun & Fellowship
- Methodist Home for Children Christmas Party
- Asheboro Zoo Trip (overnight stay)
- Love Gifts and Visits to Shut-Ins
- Yard Work for Elderly Members
- Lock-ins at the church
If you are in third through fifth grade, please come and join our group on the second Sunday of the month, from 5:00 P.M. – 6:30 P.M., during the traditional school year calendar. We would love to see you there.
