Advent Kits
Each week during the season of Advent, Pleasant Grove will provide an Advent craft project for the family. For the first week of Advent, we will have kits ready to make an Advent Wreath. These kits are available for pick up from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, and Wednesday, November 25 at the Welcome Center doors. For the following weeks in Advent (Nov. 29, Dec. 6, Dec. 13), pick-up will be on Sunday evenings from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Contact Ashley Yohman with questions.
Outreach
Our Young Disciples' Sunday School class is collecting money and toy donations for the Robeson County Christmas Store & Community Center. You may donate online here or you may mail a check to PGUMC with Robeson County specified on the memo line. You may also donate new toys and drop them off in the collection bin located outside the Education Building entrance no later than Sunday, December 6.
The Outreach Committee is sponsoring an Angel Tree for the Arc of the Triangle, which serves kids and adults in our community who have developmental disabilities. All new, unopened gifts may be dropped off outside the Education Building entrance the week of December 7-11 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All gifts must be dropped off by December 11. Reverse Advent Calendar
Each day, add a non-perishable item to box using the calendar below. Boxes can be dropped off at the organization of your choosing or brought to the church December 16-18 (for you early birds) or January 4-6.
Unfortunately, Salvation Army is not doing its annual stockings this year. Our Outreach Committee is currently working with Salvation Army to find an alternate means of giving.
Special Services
We invite you to attend "Light: A Quiet Christmas Service" on Wednesday, December 9 at 7:00 p.m. The service will be held outside in the front parking lot. No reservations are needed for attending this service. Watch service here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xFbygVQI_U
