Children and youth, third grade and older, are invited to participate in our 8:30 and 11:00 worship services by acolyting. Acolytes serve by lighting the Christ candle and altar candles during the service signifying Christ's presence with us during worship and our mission to take Christ out into the world. Contact Ashley Yohman at email@example.com if your child is interested in participating.
Quest is our 3rd-5th grade youth group. They meet once a month during the traditional school year for community-building and outreach. Contact Ashley Yohman for more information.

FAMILY MISSION NIGHTS
Throughout the school year, families are invited to come for dinner and a service project on the first Monday night of every month from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Last year's projects included packaging "kid kits" for Housing for New House, writing letters to veterans, recycling crayons, and making staff gifts for our partner elementary school, Hilburn Academy. For more information, contact Ashley Yohman at email@example.com.
Little Seedlings is an initiative to be good stewards of the space we have, create connections among caretakers and parents, and teach our young one's life skills. Children aged 5 & under, with their parents or caregivers, are invited to gather every Thursday in our Education Building from 10:00-11:00 a.m. for sensory fun and community building. Just look for the sandwich board sign!
NEW this year!! We are adding a MOMSnext group – we welcome moms of school-aged children to any of our MOPS events where they will have break out sessions and an opportunity to connect with other moms navigating the school-age years!
MOPS is an international organization that gathers and supports moms. They believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together. Our group is unique and provides an exciting opportunity to expand the idea of community. We are moms from Soapstone UMC, Pleasant Grove UMC, and the surrounding area and currently have openings for new members.
Our group currently meets bi-monthly during the traditional school year. See the full playdate and meeting schedule below. There are a few exceptions due to holidays and school closings. We hope you will join us!
If you are interested in joining our MOPS group please contact Leah Milner at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can find additional information about the options for membership and their cost on the Membership page.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)
We believe that God calls us to make our churches safe places, protecting children and other vulnerable persons from sexual and ritual abuse. God calls us to create communities of faith where children and adults grow safe and strong. Through this belief PGUMC has established a Safe Sanctuary policy. You can review our most recent update to Safe Santuary here.
