ACOLYTING
Children and youth, third grade and older, are invited to participate in our 8:30 and 11:00 worship services by acolyting. Acolytes serve by lighting the Christ candle and altar candles during the service signifying Christ's presence with us during worship and our mission to take Christ out into the world. Contact Ashley Yohman at ashley.yohman@pgumc.org if your child is interested in participating.

FAMILY MISSION NIGHTS
Throughout the school year, families are invited to come for dinner and a service project on the first Monday night of every month from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Last year's projects included packaging "kid kits" for Housing for New Hope, writing letters to veterans, recycling crayons, and making staff gifts for our partner elementary school, Hilburn Academy. For more information, contact Ashley Yohman at ashley.yohman@pgumc.org.
NEW this year!! We are adding a MOMSnext group – we welcome moms of school-aged children to any of our MOPS events where they will have break out sessions and an opportunity to connect with other moms navigating the school-age years!
MOPS is an international organization that gathers and supports moms. They believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together. Our group is unique and provides an exciting opportunity to expand the idea of community. We are moms from Soapstone UMC, Pleasant Grove UMC, and the surrounding area and currently have openings for new members.
Our group currently meets bi-monthly during the traditional school year. See the full playdate and meeting schedule below. There are a few exceptions due to holidays and school closings. We hope you will join us!
If you are interested in joining our MOPS group please contact Leah Milner at lahollar@gmail.com. You can find additional information about the options for membership and their cost on the Membership page.
MOPS Nursery Guidelines We will provide childcare during our meetings. Please register your children here

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)
We believe that God calls us to make our churches safe places, protecting children and other vulnerable persons from sexual and ritual abuse. God calls us to create communities of faith where children and adults grow safe and strong. Through this belief PGUMC has established a Safe Sanctuary policy. You can review our most recent update to Safe Santuary here.
