We offer music programs for all ages and skill levels at PGUMC! In addition to the programs listed below, we provide opportunities for both vocal and instrumental guest musicians as well as short-term choir participation with our seasonal cantatas.
Our Cherub Choir includes children up to Kindergarten, while our Children's Choir includes children in 1st-5th grade. Cherub Choir practices from 5:00-5:30 p.m. and Children's Choir practices from 5:00-6:00 p.m. on Sundays during the traditional school year. Both choirs sing in worship once per month.
Youth Music includes middle and high school youth. They typically meet from
4:00-4:30 p.m. during the school year. Music varies between choir and handbells.
Our Coffee Chorus meets every Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. for coffee, breakfast, and fellowship time. They then rehearse for about 30 minutes before the 8:30 service begins. Once a month, they will sing at that service.
The Grove Band provides music for our 9:45 service on Sunday mornings. Rehearsals are at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings.
Handbell Choir meets on Sunday evenings at 5:00 p.m. during the fall, winter, and spring months. They share music once a month at the 8:30 and 11:00 services. Contact Chris Dodson for more information.
Chancel Choir provides music for our 11:00 service on Sunday mornings. Rehearsals are at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evenings during the fall, winter, and spring. Contact Chris Dodson for more information.
